Established in 2000, the University of Queensland Business Association (UQBA) seeks to actively facilitate the professional development of University of Queensland business, economics, law and commerce students.   Servicing over 2,500 students, UQBA is one of the largest societies of its kind in Australia, providing our members with the corporate and social support they need to thrive at university and in the professional world.   The association has a prestigious history of hosting career networking events, recognised by the professional sector as an invaluable means of equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

Established in 2000

UQBA has a proud twenty-four-year history of hosting prestigious career networking events, social events and providing a comprehensive discount card, the ‘BizPass’, to its members.

UQ Union's Club of the Year 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021

The UQBA was named Club of the Year at the UQU's Clubbies Awards in 2016 and we've been winning ever since!


Queensland's Largest Business Student Society

UQBA has increased its membership base to over 2500 students experiencing 25% growth going into the year of 2024. UQBA is well positioned to continue to expand its reach through its extensive social media presence as well as both corporate and social events.

Our Vision

UQBA prides itself on the immense value offered to corporate sponsors and members alike, with the association ideally positioned to capitalise on the successes of 2023 and further strengthen its corporate portfolio in 2024.

The quality and diversity of our corporate events is a testament to UQBA’s ability to act autonomously and innovatively in the pursuit of providing our members the means to achieve their career aspirations.   It remains the steadfast mission of the association to be the connection between students’ university and professional careers by facilitating valuable relationships between our members and sponsor firms. 

From our pillar networking events, Professional Pathways and Corporate Connections, to the thought provoking Women in Business Luncheon, insightful Corporate Walkabout and our flagship Marketing Case Competition, UQBA plays a fundamental role in connecting our members with potential employers.
